Some thing's to welcome you back at Shop 10 - ERA Home & Vintage ...

Black Spun fiberglass setting. Chairs covered in green tropical top with white linen sides and bottom, tropical pipe. These are reversible and washable covers - very fresh mixed in with the black.  all pieces sold separately. If you seek a setting of 6, two extra chairs are available.

Any take on the peacock chair is always attractive. These little cuties are extremely comfortable and a great addition to any corner of the house, or mixed in with your current dining or living pieces. Includes base reversible cushion in tribal and natural linen, plus rear throw. There are two more available to make a setting of 4 - same price.  

You must've spotted the gold in the background of the last shot. These pearlers are simply stunning. Very classic style for a child's room. Whilst both are to fit a single bed, the shape is ornate enough to pull of a king single or small double once you have your cushioning and side tables in place. Prices at $240 each, find yourself a chandelier and you have a very stylish haven for the kids.

Pull out the decanters and the top shelf scotch and settle in to a few quiet one's this new years. An elegant bar cart is always a distinguished addition to a living or dining room.  It can be wheeled out to the patio or pool area so your finest crystal is at hand.

A classic piece of verandah furniture is available in this split cane daybed in original 'butter patina' condition.

Love Macrame? We do too. Large hangings available in store (plants not included) in various colours. Hang your favourite plants or get creative with  fruit bowls, fish bowls, baskets with the babies napies, towels or toilet rolls in the bathroom ... the list is endless.

Up late at the WAC

Drop in tomorrow night (Wed, 12 December) to the Woolloongabba Antique Centre and enjoy a customer shopping night. If you like your gift giving to be unique, you're sure to find something your mother, grandfather, brother or whomever will love.

We have a gorgeous range of cushions, planters, glassware and bits n pieces that are sure to scream someone's name to you. Anyone into chess? We have a selection of vintage chess books complete with a giant horse head superb for the office desk. Love to entertain? Snap up an 8-10 seater seersucker tablecoth - remember, seersucker = no ironing. Now that's thoughtful! Does mum make a mean dessert? Hand her over some classic vintage dessert bowls. New Arrival | Part II

In keeping with our fabulous mid century style, in store soon will be this Blue Beauty. A 4-piece spun fiberglass lounge setting which is perfect for the pool house or verandah. (NOW SOLD)

The setting comprises a double seater plus two singles and a cute little coffee table.  

Seats and cushions are covered in our special outdoor fabric which is fade, mould and stain resistant.

Safari Style

We thought we should pop up another item, being that our Bahamas cabinet is now ... Sold.

If you like Great Gatsby x Safari Style living, you really should put your hands on this. Attractive from every angle, the orange detailing provides a touch of masculinity to it's unique shape.

New in-store is this beautiful white cane cabinet ($250) SOLD, which would work well in a dining room for crockery and napery, a bedroom or even a study. It's the perfect Goldilocks size, not too big and not too small, to provide adequate storage without taking up too much room.
Suited to a variety of decorating styles, with definate shades of India Hicks' famous island style!

Summer living, Hamptons style

About to make its grand entrance, is this classic Hamptons style wicker lounge suite. It's as fresh as a Spring day and luxuriously comfortable too. SOLD

The suite, covered in a neutral toned ticking with reversible back and scatter cushions, is generous in size and elegantly shaped

Fabulous beaded bags

You know we don't just do furniture and homewares at Era, we also dabble in a touch of vintage fashion.
Introduce a pop of colour to your Spring Racing Carnival outfit with one of our fabulous vintage beaded bags. If you're after something a little more low key in the purse department, check out our beautiful gold and white glomesh bags.
We've also recently installed a rack of fab vintage frocks to have a bo-peep through when you next visit us at Woolloongabba Antiques.

The classics

New in-store are these two darling cane tub chairs in classic white, with blue and white ticking bases. They would sit elegantly in the living room or on a verandah, and their lady like dimensions mean they won't take up more than their share of space. ($210 each).
Adorning each chair are our ever popular outdoor throw cushions made from fade and stain resistant outdoor fabric ($32 each). Verandah furniture needn't be dull and utilitarian. Add the decorator touch to your outdoor areas, just as you do your indoor living spaces.

Do we ever tire of white? I don't think so.

This stunning cane chair and side table is oh so classic. What's special about this piece is the scrolly detailing at the front of each arm. Priced at $165 it's superb for the corner of sunroom, verandah or bedroom. We've left the fabric on this piece nice and neutral to be jazzed up with extra cushions as you please. The side table is a great compact size ($70) with dual shelving and over the back you may be able to peak a blanket box with gorgeous detailing on the front ($125). It's the little things

You can never have too many little side tables to tuck into corners, to pull up next to a sofa or position beside your favourite chair. We currently have a selection of handy sized tables including this beautiful cane drum shaped coffee table ($65), perfect for indoors or on the verandah. - SOLD

Ruggedly handsome

It's not all freshly painted and upholstered ditties round these parts. We do like to mix things up, which is what we've done today.

Gorgeous pottery lamps ($90, $150), old cigar boxes, rustic oil lanterns, vintage chess books and a bevelled mirror ($165) sit atop a perfectly aged garden table, which looks stunning indoors too. To the side you can also spot an old concrete planter, perfect to nestle into a verandah corner or courtyard.

Come in for a visit, there's plenty more in store to see.

What's for breakfast?

Sitting at this breakfast table with a slice of toast and freshly brewed cuppa, that's what. (SOLD)

These darling little compact gems are superb for a small space. Be it, in the kitchen, side verandah, or placed behind your lounge for some extra seating, there's always a spot in the house screaming out for a inconspicuous table and chairs.

Covered in a blue and natural linen tribal fabric - we also have a couple of throw cushions for sale separately for extra comfort or to work in with an existing lounge. $225 for the setting and $32 for each scatter cushion.

The cane wall cabinet in this picture is priced at $65. Great for an outdoor area above a sink or in a small powder room. Pop your trinkets on it and hang your hand towel over the rail.

This rather stunning art deco cane chair is now in-store. Includes base and back cushions in classic navy and white striped outdoor fabric ($495).The orange throw cushion is made from vintage fabric in a Hawaiian print with navy piping ($35). CHAIR NOW SOLD.

Who's a pretty boy?

Fab black cane setting

In-store right now is this fabulous black cane three piece setting ($425), which is comfortable and compact enough to seat four people on the verandah without taking up too much room. It includes the base cushions and four throw cushions, piped in white.

Keep things neutral with the classic black and white colour scheme, or add some green, yellow or pink throw cushions for a pop of Spring time colour.

Pretty little somethings

 Our shelves are laden with Spring time coloured glassware and china, a fantastic set of anodised canisters, and vintage tea sets.

These pink 'parfait-come-wine' glasses are perfect for an afternoon high tea.

The pink swan is now sold, but there's a couple more in-store, and another arriving very soon.

Open day

Era Home & Vintage officially opened at Woolloongabba Antiques Centre on Sunday, September 9, 2012. We've kicked off with a Spring time outdoor theme, complete with lawn.
Turn your verandah into the best dressed room in the house - afterall, that's where we spend most of our time in Queensland.
In-store right now is a fab three piece black cane setting which is compact and comfy, as well as an elegant 1930s cane chaise.

These two white cane chairs sold within the first few hours of trade, but there's more on the way! 

The start of something

It was only last Friday that we moved into the Woolloongabba Antique Centre - a Disneyland of wonder for lovers of retro and vintage furniture and wares.
We began with this blank canvas, and over the next couple of hours the clever boys from the Gold Coast School of Construction transformed it into the new Era Home & Vintage store.

The bespoke, purpose built pop up shop was designed to be flat packed and transportable. Piece to piece it came together on-site.

Our shelves act as a brace, and now house a collection of beautiful coloured glass and retro homewares.

The trellis at the top stabilises the structure and allows us to hang our light fittings, macrame, bunting and all kinds of lovely things.

Ta da! Our completed store,

and so begins Era Home & Vintage.
